I began constructing my advertisement with just an image of Lisa overlapping an image which I'd found early for my digipak CD design. This was later on edited by the background eraser tool so that it seemed as though the picture of Lisa dissolves into the background.

Magazine Advertisement Of Artists
By looking at these magazine adverts I can begin to create my own advert whilst using the magazines as a guide. I've selected a variety of adverts with artists that create music which are categorised in different genres to one another.
These first two adverts advertise the artists more than their music. The achievements of the artista are presented briefly but the main attention of the entire page is on the artist.

Conventions Of A Magazine Advertisement
After looking at all the elements that make up a digipak magazine advertisement, I've studied the conventions of every page.
- Representative visual image for the artist's identity.
- Artist name
- Title of the song/album
- Release of album/single
- Extra features
- Tour dates
- Production company name/logo
- Website information
- Photographer
- Relevant background for the genre
- Font and colour of the text
- Logos of where the album/single is avaliable

Digipak Construction
By using the chosen digipak template, I've began to construct my digipak.
This is just the front cover and back cover with the spine in between.
The extra panel has been added here with the spine between it and the back cover.
The entire outer side of the digipak is now complete. The conventions of the back cover has been added on.

Digipak Development
This is the first process in constructing the outer section of my digipak. The chosen front cover and back cover have been joined together along with the extra panel which is an image of Lisa. The measurements are not the same as the chosen digipak template due to this being a rough idea. I've tried to make it seem like the background transforms from light to dark and give the impression that it's almost like the pictures of Lisa have been taken on the same background. Elements of the back cover still need to be added on along with the inner side of the digipak.

Extra Panel Designs
The first idea I had for the extra panel is to use a picture of Lisa due to the back and front cover being pictures of Lisa too, therefore I imagined keeping the entire outer side of the digipak the same with all three panels sharing pictrues of Lisa. Also because I had decided to have the background look as though it's one continuous background that fades from light to dark or dark to light, I thought I'd use an image which has the right side background to be one colour due to it having to conjoin with the back cover which is situated on the left.
I also considered using images which were relevant to the video and artist as the extra panel, however I had decided to use them for the inside of my digipak instead and keep the original idea of having the background the same for the outer side of the digipak. These were the images that I was considering to use for the extra panel.

Spine And Back Cover Designs
These are a few designs that I've made for the back cover and spines of my digipak. I've included the basic conventions of a back cover whilst experimenting the layout for my design. When I've finished developing my ideas for the back cover and reached a final design, I'll include all the conventions of a back cover such as: bar code, production company logo, photography, recording studios, websites and year of release.

CD Designs
These are the CD designs that I've created using the images I've taken for the ancillary text and also some print screened images from the videos that haven't been used in making the music video. Despite looking at CD designs that consist of only a plain background and text, I've included images to my CD designs to involve the artist's identity on the CD.
I've created these designs to suit the style of those that I have previously looked at. By typing into Google Images 'Grunge Backgrounds', I've enabled myself to find dark toned backgrounds which are presented by the CD designs that I've studied. However I wanted my design to have a bit more depth compared to the referenced CDs therefore I've chosen and applied backgrounds that appear to have texture rather than those that are plain and simple. The texture helps to illustrate the mood and tone of our music video and song.
The background for these two are images of my own. The first was taken from the marble above my fireplace and the second was a second from a picture I drew of a rose. By using my own images I can relate the designs to the video more because it will have been an idea I put together myself.

Additional Front Cover Designs
Now that the name of our artist has been decided, I've created more designs for the front cover of my digipak. One of these designs will be used for my final design.
