Video Shoot 2 - Piano Begins
Song stanza:
This is the scene which begins when the narrative of the song begins after the beginning scene of the video. The section of the song we were shooting for is –
The piano playing at the beginning of the song
The video:
This is the fifth shoot we had videoed, at my house. Using my house allows us to show that the couple are living separate in opposition to when we had shown both Lisa and Jacob living together in Lisa’s house. My living room was chosen to show that this is the house that only Lisa lives in which is presented in a feminine style. The lighting had deliberately been dimmed to show a mrbid and upset atmosphere in the room. This scene was filmed to show the beginning of the narrative and how the entire quest begins and exactly where it begins. We purposely show the time because it determines exactly what time the quest begins which is later shown through the narrative as the evening by the setting. The living is shown after the introduction, of the video, in the studio. This allows us to show that as the music starts, a story of Lisa’s quest also starts.

Video Shoot 1 - Beginning Of The Video
Song stanza:
This is the scene which comes before the piano begins to play as the narrative begins
The video:
[This is the third shoot we had videoed, beside Barclays Commercial Bank. We chose this are due to the lighting looking increasingly vibrant and lively. We decided to base this whole scene on ne stanza of the song. This scene shows the first part of Lisa’s quest to meet Jacob; she’s walking down the ‘good’ street which leads onto the ‘bad’ street (the next scene). We videoed this scene straight after arriving in town after college time, we tried to hurry so that we could capture the time of the day when the sun is setting rather than after it had already set. The area for this scene can be clearly noticed in the next scene therefore we decided to video in areas which were close to each other.]
A practice video was done just to check whether the camera picks up the voice of someone asking Lisa if shes ready. Overall it had taken 8 practice videos to get the perfect clip of Lisa being asked 'Ok, are you ready?' and her replying 'Yeah'. We had a friend helping us by being the anonymous questioning voice. Due to the way in which Lisa's standing seeming awkward and sometimes the way Lisa replies or is asked if shes ready not sounding so serious, it had taken us 8 practices before we thought the 9th one was suitable.
Problems discovered:
[Due to the area being darker than we planned it to be the lighting wasn’t as fine as we had hoped. Also the lights on the ground of that area created long bright streaks of light on the video therefore it made the video appear unprofessional. We had tried to use a torch light from my phone to light up Lisa’s face a bit more so we could see more detail but the idea was unsuccessful. We decided to film in another area which connects to both scenes from the stanzas before and after.]
Future planning:
[We have decided to video again, this time in order of the stanzas and with an actual video camera rather than a digital camera. Also we will hopefully video again around the time when the sun is just setting rather than straight after its already set and when it’s gone completely dark.]

Anamatic
This is the beginning of my anamatic. The rest could not be completed due to not have story board pictures of the next scene therefore until the pictures are taken I can’t create the rest of the anamatic but I till attempt to make the rest of the anamatic without the pictures that are needed and conjoin both anamatic videos together when we have finally taken the pictures for the scene.
Every picture is dedicated to a few seconds of actions and events which are described in the story board. The amount of time devotedly needed and each line of the lyrics have been carefully timed to begin and end at each scene or picture. The actions that happen have been timed exactly to how we planned in the story board and when we first started creating our ideas.
This is the final anamatic video which has been constructed to show the actions that happen in the latest storyboard.
This is the final anamatic video which has been constructed to show the actions that happen in the latest storyboard.
Story Board
From the ‘Initial Ideas For The Chosen Song’ and ‘Ideas For Our Chosen Song’, we conferred a final story board of the events and actions that will take place in our final music video.
Each section of each page shows the actions that occur in the narrative rather than each shot. The end of a shot or scene is shown by the circling of the word ‘cut’ after the description of the action.
The next shot after the ‘cut’ is the beginning of a new scene and is continuous till the next shot and a different camera shot. The camera shots are written firstly to show what the scene would appear as and the period of the action is timed accurately so fit in with the lyrics and gaps of the song.

Planning Stage 10 - Narrative Scene 8
The last scene…
(Lisa finally has met Jacob and expresses her feelings and dedication to him by singing the last stanza of the song. Before singing the last line she looks down on the floor whilst thinking her efforts will go to waste, however Jacob tilts her head up gently whilst smiling as if to forgive her therefore Lisa sings the last line of the song in a smiley and appreciated way.)
Lisa expresses herself to Jacob.
She looks down in disappointed.
Jacob gently tilts her head back up by lifting her chin.
Both Lisa and Jacob are smiling at each other and Lisa sings the last line in happiness.

Planning stage 9 - Narrative Scene 7
The second flashback...
(Lisa’s second flashback contains her and Jacob watching TV when Jacob suddenly makes a comment. Lisa reacts in an annoyed way to his comment which begins their quarrel. Jacob walks out on Lisa while she's still shouting which leads to her sitting down quite depressingly as she regrets the entire fight.)

Which leads to the last scene of Jacob and Lisa meeting...
Planning Stage 8 - Narrative Scene 6
The ‘bad’ street...
(Lisa is now shown walking down an even darker and more dangerous street which is now closer to Marina. Lisa is again continuously singing however towards the end of the stanza she sees Jacob and he is shown from over her shoulder.)
Lisa is still singing whilst walking to meet Jacob when she suddenly spots him and stops.
Jacob is shown standing a few feet away from over Lisa’s shoulder.
Which leads onto Lisa’s second flashback...
Planning Stage 7 - Narrative Scene 5
The ‘good’ street...
(Lisa is shown in the first part of her quest where she is walking down a street which is on the way to Marina. The weather is shown cold and miserable and the atmosphere is dark and sinister. Lisa is seen to be continuously walking and singing on her quest, no further action occurs.)
Lisa is simply walking down the street.
Then at the end of the stanza she turns the corner.
Planning Stage 6 - Narrative Scene 4
The first flashback...
(Lisa’s first flashback contains her having trouble with her umbrella that has turned inside out near the Marina where she was relaxing by watching the river. Jacob notices her having trouble and offers to help her out. Lisa thanks Jacob in a flustered way and they are both shown to be gazing at each other.)
Which then leads onto the next scene of Lisa walking down the goodstreet...

He manages to sort the umbrella out.
And Lisa thanks him in a shy manner as they both gaze at each other.

Planning Stage 5 - Narrative Scene 3
The first stanza of the song...
(Whilst singing the first stanza of the song Lisa gets ready to meet Jacob by sorting her hair and wiping under her eyes showing she has been upset and is preparing herself to meet Jacob now. She picks up her teddy off the floor, which is a symbol of her and Jacob’s relationship, and places it on the bed. She goes to switch her laptop on and reminisces about her past due to seeing her desktop background of her and Jacob, and then she switches it off ready to start again. She walks towards the door and has a last glance over her shoulder of the room and mentally prepares herself to leave the house, and then the light is switched off.)
Lisa first tidies her hair.
Then wipes under her eyes were her makeup is smudged.
She picks up her teddy that she threw in anger earlier.
And places it on her bed.
Lisa goes to her laptop and thinks about Jacob whilst looking at the background picture.
She then closes the lid.
Then she walks to the door and has a glance back at her room.
And finally switches the light off.
Which leads on to the next scene of Lisa’s first flashback...
Planning Stage 4 - Narrative Scene 2
When the piano begins...
(The piano begins to play and Lisa starts to tidy her room. Used tissues are thrown away as well as a chocolate box. Lisa picks up her trousers and puts them away properly on her bed which shows she must have left them on the floor due to her disturbed state. She walks to her mirror and puts her coat on to begin getting ready.)
Lisa throws her tissues and chocolate box away in the bin.
She picks up her unassembled trousers from the floor.
Then she folds her trousers and puts them on her bed.
She then turns to her mirror and puts her coat on.
Which then leads onto the scene of when the first stanza of the song begins...
Planning Stage 3 - Narrative Scene 1
Pictures for our story board show what actions are meant to be happening in the video, in order.
Beginning of the narrative...
(Lisa is sat in her bedroom moping about her and Jacob’s breakup. The tissues, chocolate box and glass of red wine shows she’s feeling depressed. She considers to text Jacob to ask if they’d be able to meet so that she could express her feelings to Jacob. Lisa finishes off her drink as Jacob gives her a reply stating where to meet. This leads on to the beginning of her quest to meet Jacob.)
Lisa’s thinking of her problems and mistakes that she had created with Jacob.
She considers texting Jacob whilst looking at the phone.
Rapidly she picks up the phone and begins to text Jacob.
The full text is shown quoting ‘Can we meet? X’
Lisa puts the phone down.
And hesitatingly grabs her red wine to finish it off.
She swallows her drink in a hurry.
And puts her drink back down.
She notices a reply off Jacob.
His text states ‘Ok, same place.’
She puts her phone back down .
Sighs whilst wondering what her and Jacobs encounter will turn out as.
Lisa prepares herself mentally for their meet up.
Which leads onto the next scene of when the piano begins to play...
