The video has Adele in an apartment in a city where the clock reflects that it is 4:02 am; the room is in darkness as she looks out at the city. She picks up her phone and starts singing whilst texting. For a while she continues sitting in darkness looking out at the city and checking her phone regularly for a response. The song ends, and she hears the phone "ring" indicating that she's received a text message. The video ends as she sits down and checks her message.

Analysis of the lyrics 

In this song Adele shows she is in love with a guy and wants him to know how much she loves hm. The song gives off the idea that they’re not in a relationship and she is telling him that if he were with her she'd do anything.

Adele is stating the mood of a person who’s feeling glum due to nothing working out in life, she hands herself out to give warmth and love therefore winning her love over through comfort.

Here she explains the end of the day by the use of ‘evening shadows’ and ‘stars’ which connote the night. This is implying the day had been awful and now when it has reached the night she is there to console her love for as long as possible which is assisted by the metaphor ‘a million years’

Adele shows her love is still unsure about her, but she tries to reassuring and convincing that all she would ever do is keep her love happy. Here she shows how she’s give up anything and everything and put herself at risk just for the sake of her love to understand how she feels for him.
