Cast List

For the cast list we first decided to mainly have a female role with the help of a male to give the impression on a love/romance video with an unfortunate twist, this is shown in the ‘Ideas’ sketch. The sketch also shows that another female could have possibly been featured in different idea for the music video. The roles of the cast as shown in the draft of ‘Ideas For Our Chosen Song’ which show that we chose a final idea for what the narrative could be for the song and exactly who would be playing a role in the video. We chose to have the female as the central character and have the narrative be entirely about her and her life. The male was used to show what he meant to the female; he is used to show what had happened between the couple and what will happen towards the end of the video. All this is shown in the ‘Initial Ideas For The Chosen Song’.

To begin with Lisa and I had Jacob sorted for the male role, in fact we also had another male ready to play their part in the video - Sacha. However Sacha became less available and Jacob was always accessible and extremely reliable. For the female part we asked our friends and also Lisa posted a wall status on her Facebook stating ‘Is there anybody that would like to appear in a music video for a college project I’m doing? It's a female role, all you have to do is mime and do a bit of acting, nothing too complicated, but we need someone that will be able to keep serious and is reliable for filming. Lisa suggested I play the role for the female part due to Jacob and I being a couple, therefore it would be effortless and natural for us both to show love and affection without becoming embarrassed and uncomfortable. However I believed that I would struggle to act and play the role because I wouldn’t be able to be serious without giggling and becoming nervous whilst knowing I was being filmed. I suggested that Lisa could play the part due to her experience in acting in college and also outside of college. Therefore both female and male was found so we began to make our music video.
